Our favourite Clone Trooper joins us this week to help reminisce about our top five gun related memories. We also get a bunch of email and talk for an embarrassingly long time about raw milk. We’re very sorry about that.
Daniel Balofsky and Kent Nicolson join us to talk about the “Keep Calm and Make it Reign” initiative. Basically, they’re planning on building and opening the biggest gun range in North America – in Toronto of all places! (well, just north of Toronto actually)
Rod Giltaca joins us to talk about some recent Canadian gun politics as well as the possibility of forming a new pro-gun firearms organization in Canada. Trevor gives us another polymer pistol review, this time it’s the Ruger SR9.
Welcome to episode One Hundred! That’s right, it’s finally here and it’s a great one. Well, we had fun recording it anyway. We start off with our typical banter and then dive into an overstuffed mailbag reading fantastic emails from our awesome listeners. Thanks for listening and making this all possible!
Bryan Bolivar from Modern Rifleman Radio joins us this week to talk about rifle scopes. We cover everything from the basics of properly mounting a scope to more advanced things such as adjustable objectives and how to properly use target turrets. We even get into a few more advanced concepts such as parallax error, how to calculate the exit pupil, and what the heck a MOA is.
The show’s a little shorter than normal this week due to some scheduling issues. We cover our week in guns with Owen doing some more .308 load testing, Matthew still messing with his new MkII, and Trevor doing just about everything else. We also have another NFA situation update for those of you following that.
Lots of gun talk this week as well as an update on the current NFA situation. Owen talks about how to properly store water, Trevor channels his inner Liberal, and Matthew doesn’t interrupt anyone – not even when Trevor gets the episode number wrong.
Geoff Rees from the Calgary Shooting Centre joins us this week to verify for us that in fact no communists shop at his store. We also talk a little bit about the NFA situation to try and keep you all up to speed on what’s going on there.
